A woman was found dead in a parking lot at a hotel in Somerset County, Georgia, shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Keith Demery, 54, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Demery was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment of minor injuries, but was later released from the hospital. The identity of the victim is not yet disclosed pending a postmortem examination.
