A massive train derailment in far northern Minnesota has resulted in evacuations and resulting in numerous injuries. The derailment occurred early Saturday morning near Warroad and involved numerous derailed cars, some of which were classified as "dangerous goods cars". The evacuation has been lifted, although part of the road remains closed due to heavy equipment and ongoing concerns.
