The Pentagon has tightened restrictions on journalists covering the US military following a court ruling that was unconstitutional. The move comes as part of a series of measures against journalists and news outlets, often referred as "fake news" when their reporting displeases the administration. The Pentagon has closed a press area called the Correspondents' Corridor and will require an escort by authorized Department personnel. The National Press Club criticised the move, stating it restricts independent reporting.
