Carson Benge, a rookie outfielder for the New York Mets, has been moved up to the middle of the team's batting order following a surge in his performance. The move was made during a 3-1, 10-inning victory over the Diamondbacks. Manager Carlos Mendoza praised Benge's ability to put the ball where it needs to be and make a difference. Benge had been batting seventh or eighth in the lineup this season, but had a successful RBI double in the 10th. David Peterson has been pitching behind an opener but could potentially be used in relief if necessary. The Mets are currently 12-4 at sunset.
