The U.S. military has begun a blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas as peace talks between the two countries falter. This comes amid concerns over the future of Iran's nuclear program and Iranian negotiators refusing to end funding for allied militant groups or fully open the Strait of Hormuz. The move could increase oil prices and renew hostilities with Iran. Meanwhile, Pope Leo was criticized by President Trump for criticising the war in Iran, but responded by saying he would continue to speak out against war and the suffering of innocent people. The first Latina to headline Coachella, Karol G, topped the set. The NBA season ended with the Raptors securing the No. 5 seed in the East and the Nuggets taking the 3rd seed in West.
