The Chicago Blackhawks lost 7-2 to the Carolina Hurricanes, marking their seventh consecutive loss in eight games. This loss was the team's first at home since returning to the United Center for the first of four home games. Despite Anton Frondell scoring two goals in his ninth NHL game since arriving from Sweden, the loss was not without success.
