Loudoun County is moving forward with the transformation of the former Westpark Golf Course into a passive park, despite community concerns about noise from a planned disc golf course. The county's board of supervisors approved a plan on April 22 that would transform the former golf course into a park with three miles of trails, pavilions, rest rooms and an 18-hole course. Some residents fear the sound of the disc golfing will wake children, annoy pets, and disrupt their peace.
