Home heating oil prices in Connecticut have risen by up to 50 cents a gallon due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East. M&M Oil owner John Marino stated that the price he pays to fill his 2,600-gallon trucks rose 34 cents a week, and has since risen to a 50 cents more than it was at the start of the week. Marino said his company operates on a fixed markup over the daily wholesale cost, meaning the company's margin stays the same regardless of fluctuating prices. However, he believes the conflict will not last long and that warmer weather could provide some relief.
