NJ Woman Who Drowned 3-Year-Old Daughter Declared Insane

Jeanine Glass, a 44-year-old mother from New Jersey, was charged with first-degree murder in 2025 after police discovered she had drowned her daughter in a bathtub. During a bench trial, a judge declared her not guilty by reason of insanity and she will continue receiving specialized psychiatric care. The girl's cause of death was determined as a homicide. Following her hospital release, Glass was transferred to a psychiatric facility. She will continue to undergo psychiatric treatment.
