The town of Los Gatos is reviewing the draft environmental impact report for a housing project on Oka Road, which consists of 138 units spread across 18 townhome-style buildings. The project will require the removal of two protected orchard trees and 372 non-protected trees. Environmental concerns included seismic-related ground issues, possible violations of water quality standards or waste discharge requirements due to runoff, increased noise and traffic. The town is asking for written comments and is encouraging local artists and organizations to exhibit their work in the town council chambers and the library.
