The Forest Preserve District of Will County has announced its program schedule for the first week of April, which includes a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Exhibit at Plum Creek Nature Center in Crete, and a Clean Up the Oaks event at Hidden Oaks Nature Center. These events are intended for all ages and participants can bring used household batteries for recycling and organic waste for composting. Other activities include exploring wetland with nets and buckets, learning about water quality and the life hidden beneath the pond’s surface. The Spring Break Staycation will also include exploring forest, prairie and wetland habitats and learning about wild canines.
