Cleveland gets shoutout from Artemis II as spacecraft heads home from moon mission

NASA's Artemis II Commander, Reid Wiseman, praised the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland during a critical maneuver as the spacecraft returned from its historic mission around the moon. The recognition highlighted the importance of the Cleveland-based team in the development and integration of the European-built service module used for the mission. The service module provided power, propulsion, air and water for the astronauts during the 10-day mission and was essential for the spacecraft's safe return to Earth. The third Return Correction Burn was used to fine-tune the spacecraft’s trajectory for re-entry and splashdown. The Orion capsule splashed down off the coast of San Diego at 8:07 p.m.
