The Pilot Brewhouse in New Philadelphia, Ohio, opened in August in the space previously held Five Barrel Bullet Brewing Co. and Lockport Brewery in Bolivar. The owners, Andrew and Lauren Marburger, have been trying to create a unique experience for their community, with a pilot brewhouse used for experimenting with beers. The Pilot Brews offers a variety of beers and offers a wide range of flavors. The building was largely unchanged, but they have since overhauled the bar, including adding a bank of receiver-only radios for customers to listen to live aviation traffic patterns and chatter. The pilot Brewhouse's head brewer, Nick Burgess, is originally from Beach City and originally applied for the brewer’s job at Millersburg, but eventually got it.
