Several local organizations are planning events to spotlight Black vendors at the NFL Draft weekend in Pittsburgh, including a series of events later this week aimed at highlighting Black vendors who were not chosen to participate in the NFL's Source Program. The aim of these events is to highlight vendors who are not chosen for the NFL draft. The Black Political Political Empowerment Project and the nonprofit Emerald City Plan are coordinating to host events to showcase these vendors. The event will also be part of a larger effort to showcase Black vendors, particularly those chosen not part of the Draft Source program. Other community-led events include a three-day festival for Black Vendors during the draft and a 2026 event for businesses in the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh.
