Sterling secured a 49-45, 49-47, and 49-49 unanimous decision, marking a 26-5 mixed martial arts record and an 18-5 UFC record. He is now seeking a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski, who holds the UFC featherweight title currently held by Volkanovich. The co-main event saw UFC women’s champion Joselyne Edwards of Panama secure a unanimous decision victory over Brazil’a Norma Dumont. In the lightweight division, Rafa Garcia of Mexico ended Alexander Hernandez’ four-fight winning streak by defeating him.
