UK shop price inflation has risen to 1.2% in the 12 months to March, above the 1.1% increase in February, according to the British Retail Consortium. The increase is attributed to the Iran war, which is causing higher costs in supply chains. The BRC has warned that while retailers will work to mitigate these costs, inflation will continue to rise.
