Snowbirds are preparing for record temperatures in southern Arizona, with temperatures threatening to reach triple digits later this week, particularly those not accustomed to the heat. Robin Walters, a snowbird who has spent several winters in Tucson, said she and her friends at the Rincon Country West RV Resort, the Snowbird Sisters, plan to shift outdoor activities from outdoor activities to indoor ones. Medical professionals are urging anyone planning to go outside to be aware of the higher than typical temperatures for this time of year.
