Northeast Houston townhomes left empty since Hurricane Harvey are now set to be sold. The former Houston Housing Authority, now known as Housing Alliance HTX, provided affordable homes to low-income, elderly, and residents with disabilities when the storm hit in 2017. The housing authority provided vouchers so residents could relocate to any unit accepting these vouchers. However, nearly a decade later, the property has remained vacant with no residents living and no trespassing signs posted across the property. The civil engineer company Gradient Group LLC was selected by the Houston Housing authority to perform a preliminary drainage investigation of the townhouses.
