Sterling softball looking for better results after things slip away at Moline

The Sterling softball team suffered a 6-1 loss to Moline in Western Big 6 Conference action. The team had led for 5 innings before Moline scored five runs in the fifth inning to take the win. Starting pitcher Lily Martinez said it was frustrating to see the game slip away for the Warriors, who are 3-7 in April so far. Moline's No. 9 hitter, Raeann Goodwin, hit a two-run double to make it 2-1, and Sterling had only four hits in the game. Coach Donnie Dittmar said the team needs to step up in big moments and improve their performance.
