How Maersk and the U.S. military got a ship to pass through Strait of Hormuz

The container ship Astrid Maersk, operated by AP Moller-Maersk A/S, successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz without incident, thanks to a mission by the U.S. Navy. This is one of only a handful of ships to safely pass through the strait since the start of the war against Iran. The mission was part of a broader effort by the military to free ships stranded by Iran's closure of the Strait. The company had previously taken a cautious approach during the Middle East crisis, not taking any crossings despite several of its ships being stranded in the region.
