A passenger was pulled through a broken window on a Ryanair flight from Greece to Germany shortly after take-off, demonstrating the importance of keeping your seatbelt on during flights. The man, who was pulled halfway out of the plane, remains hospitalized with serious physical injuries and psychological trauma. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff and could have led to a more violent decompression at cruising altitude. The Federal Aviation Authority has advised passengers to keep their seatbelts on at all other times during flights, and during noticeable turbulence, the crew is obliged to switch on the seatbelt signs.
