Better weather begins to fill in from the west

The kona low is expected to move away from the island, leaving a remnant band of moisture covering Oahu to the Big Island. This will continue throughout the day, with increased showers and isolated thunderstorms expected across Maui County and Big Island, and Oahu. The Flood Watch will continue through the night. Trade winds will begin filling in from the east and west, shifting towards the west, allowing for a more typical trade wind distribution. The remaining moisture will be cleared by Wednesday.
