Reid Scott, star of Law & Order, has spoken about the aftermath of a tragic accident on the show. The accident occurred while Riley was chasing a person of interest in the case and driving recklessly, accidentally hitting a man. The IAB rules it an accident, but Riley's still torn up when the man died. Following the accident, Riley falls off the wagon and tells Pride (Hugh Dancy) that he lied about seeing a weapon in the hand of the person he’d been chasing when the accident occurred. The episode ends with Riley attending an AA meeting. Scott believes that the accident will impact his character and his relationship with the show moving forward.
