Flood Threat to DFW Increasing Late Friday Into Saturday

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning about a potential flood threat over Friday evening and Saturday, due to a cold front moving through the area. The NWS predicts heavy rain and localized flash flooding, with rainfall potentially exceeding 3 inches. After the front moves through, cooler conditions will continue to persist into the week. The U.S. Drought Monitor currently considers much of the North Texas region abnormally dry or in a moderate drought.
