South Korea's air force has apologised for a 2021 mid-air collision involving two fighter jets, following auditors' findings that pilots were taking selfies and filming during the flight. The incident occurred during a formation flight near Daegu, causing about $600,000 in damage. One of the pilots involved was suspended from flying duties and received severe disciplinary action. The state Board of Audit and Inspection also criticized the air force for lax controls on in-flight filming.
