Man with ALS to Be Pushed in Wheelchair by Family at London Marathon: 'Carried by Love'

Matt Cox, a TV executive and philanthropist, was diagnosed with motor neuron disease (MND) last year and is participating in the London Marathon with his loved ones pushing his wheelchair to raise money for charity. MND is a group of neurological disorders that gradually destroy the motor neurons, which control muscle movement. Cox will be pushed in his wheelchair by his family to raise funds for the MND Association. Despite his illness, Cox hopes to walk the final mile of the marathon. He also highlighted the need for awareness about the expensive disease and lack of treatment options.
