The City of Newark will be closed on Good Friday, April 3, and all non-essential municipal services will be suspended. The Department of Health and Community Wellness will not operate its inspection services, WIC and health clinic. The Bureau of Vital Statistics will also be closed. Police, fire and other uniformed emergency services are unaffected. Payments can be made through the website.
