Oracle Corporation (ORCL) is gaining momentum in the tech sector by finding ways to connect with competitors like Amazon.com's (AMAZN) and Microsoft.com (MSM) in order to expand their multicloud partnership to add enterprise-grade, high-performance connectivity between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS. This move is expected later in 2026, which will allow customers to move applications and data across both clouds without the need for complex data replication. This strategy aligns with Oracle’s strategy of becoming a cross-cloud database and AI layer rather than a direct competitor. The expansion of Amazon gives Oracle a stronger distribution channel into AWS-heavy enterprises without having to win the full infrastructure stack. However, the biggest risk for Oracle is execution at scale, as it is supply-constrained due to high demand and rising costs. The company also raised its fiscal 2026 capex guidance to $50 billion from $35 billion, with $12.8 billion deployed in Q3 alone.
