Unseasonably hot weather across Southern California has broken or tied several temperature records in San Diego County, according to the National Weather Service. The surge of warm air pushed temperatures above normal for mid-March, setting "highest maximum temperature" records in several areas on March 13. These records are tracked over decades using official weather observations. The weather is expected to cool down a bit on Saturday, but temperatures will remain above average.
