Jeffrey C. MacDonald, a renowned Massachusetts chef, was arrested following the death of his wife, Emma, in Amherst, on April 22. He allegedly told police he beat her with his bare hands, feet, and various objects. Both men were employees at the University of Massachusetts Amherstown. Jeffrey was arrested after police responded to a report of an emergency at Hotel UMass and a violent struggle ensued. He has been charged with murder and assaulting a police officer.
