The United States Naval Academy has sent two Midshipmen to the NFL for the first time since 1956. All-American nose guard Landon Robinson and versatile playmaker Eli Heidenreich were the first Navy teammates to be drafted in the same NFL Draft since 1956, and just the second duo ever from the program. Robinson was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round, which was announced by the Pat Tillman Foundation. Heideneich was selected 230th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers, which sparked a significant reaction inside the draft venue. Both men are now the 20th and 21st Naval Academy players ever drafted into the NFL.
