Banijay Rights has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery and CreAsia Studio, part of Endemol Shine India, to produce a new 10-episode series of "Masterchef Asia" marking the format's return to the Asian television market after a decade-long hiatus. The new series will be produced in Macao, which is designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. The series will bring back 10 former “MasterChef” contestants from across the continent, each competing for a second chance at the title. The deal was brokered by Rashmi Bajpai, executive VP Asia at Banijay rights. The show will be broadcast across TLC, Discovery, the Asian Food Network, Lala TV in Japan, and the Fatafeat channel in the Middle East.
