EF-1 tornado, 110 mph winds confirmed in Belton

The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that a tornado that damaged homes and a historic cemetery in Belton, Missouri was an EF-1 in rating. The tornado was only on the ground for five minutes and traveled from southwest Belton to east Belton. The NWS's assessment stated that the tornado was nearly in the EF-2 category.
