The Trump administration has made it easier to deport recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program, implemented by former President Barack Obama. The decision was made by the Executive Office for Immigration Review Board of Immigration Appeals of the Department of Justice. The National Immigration Law Center called the decision "cruel" and warned that it would harm immigrants. Four Democratic senators from the U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus also decried the decision, stating that it could have profound consequences for the hundreds of thousands of Dreamers who rely on DACA to live and work in America without threat of deportation.
