The Supreme Court has ruled that Internet service providers are not liable for piracy, but could help social media giant, Meta, avoid liability claims over its torrenting of AI training data. The lawsuit alleges that by seeding potentially 80 terabytes of pirated works, the company knew it was creating infringement. This claim is easier to prove than a separate claim by book authors in Kadvance v. .
