The hosts of Fox & Friends have defended conspiracy theorists who believe that the White House Correspondents' Association dinner shooting was staged to boost President Donald Trump's approval ratings. The incident occurred on Saturday (April 25) at the Washington Hilton hotel in Washington, D.C. where the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, was apprehended and taken into custody. Following the incident, social media theories suggested that the event was staged as a way to distract from issues such as the president's war with Iran, the Epstein files, and the president’s falling approval ratings were prevalent. Fox & Friend co-host Brian Kilmeade called the claims “insane!” and “nothing could possibly have been staged.”
