The city of Racine has informed residents of an issue on the ballots for the upcoming April 7 election that included an uncontested Municipal Judge race being omitted from them. The city made the discovery on March 25 and has issued a corrected ballot (Ballot B) including the Municipal judge race to voters who have already been mailed an absentee ballot. The issue was not directly addressed, as the city did not have access to the final ballot before it was printed. If a voter chooses not to return Ballot B, their original Ballot A will be counted, with no vote recorded for the Municipal Judge. The City Clerk's Office is working with state election authorities to ensure this plan complies with all applicable laws and preserves the integrity of the election. No other races were impacted by this issue.
