The opening of LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries is set to open this spring, with a retrospective of Sublime, a tech-savvy tapestries, and the long-awaited opening of the David Geffees. The Grammy Museum in Long Beach will showcase the band's legacy and how their hometown of Long Beach influenced their sound. An exhibition by Chilean artist Guillermo Bert explores themes of consumerism and displacement through his tapestry series, which includes QR codes woven into them that share Indigenous stories. A special public program is planned for July 30, 30 years to the day the album's debut album came out. The exhibition at the Grammy Museum aims to give Black queer culture in California a credit it's due to its fight for LGBTQ+ rights and recognition. Other notable exhibitions include a retrospective at the Los Angeles Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum, which features live-free art installations and performances.
