Ramsey Nuss, a local entrepreneur in Birmingham's Bluff Park neighborhood, has opened Good Neighbor Baking, a bakery in her hometown of Pursell Farms. Nuss began her career in baking when she was introduced to baking in her grandmother's kitchen, where she learned the fundamentals of baking at Camp Marannook. She moved her home operations into a commercial kitchen after moving to the area and partnering with Daysol Coffee Lab in 2024 to open Bluff park Coffee Collective. The business has been transformed into a daily bakery, with Nuss looking to connect with local moms and use baking to build community. She credits her passion for the success of her business, which has allowed her to explore her entrepreneurial roots and learn new skills and talents. The bakery's name, Good Neighbor, was the inspiration for the name.
