Freddy Snyder, 29, is accused of murdering Carl Grillmair, a world-renowned researcher at Caltech’s IPAC Science and Data Center, on February 16 at his home in Llano, 75 miles north of Los Angeles. Snyder, who did not enter a plea during the hearing, showed little remorse during his court appearance. The murder comes amid a series of mysterious disappearances and deaths of nuclear and space scientists. The charges against Snyder were dropped due to his lack of prior convictions.
