Apple is reportedly working to make the next-generation Siri capable of handling multiple requests at once. This move is part of a major overhaul in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. The new Siri will be powered by an entirely new foundation model, using Google's Gemini technology. It is also expected to extend the Siri Extensions feature to allow users to use other AI assistants through the App Store. The news indicates that Apple is far behind in the AI assistant space, with the release of this update not expected until the fall.
