The University of Colorado (PUP) has delayed student access to ChatGPT until the fall semester due to faculty concerns about its OpenAI contract. The move highlights growing academic faculty resistance to AI in classrooms, spanning resources, governance, and student impact. Many faculty members believe the OpenAI agreement was made without enough teacher resources and time to accommodate widespread AI use.
