A woman from China, Xuemei Zhao, has been sentenced to one year in prison for attempting to check a suitcase with an undeclared revolver and ammunition at the Provo Airport. She was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a restricted person and will be held in custody of the Federal Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation proceedings. The court found she possessed the gun in connection with illegal commercial sex work.
