Diamondbacks bullpen woes continue in home-opening win over Tigers

The Diamondbacks' struggling bullpen performance in their home opener against the Detroit Tigers has continued, with a seventh-inning fiasco at Chase Field that led to an 8-6 loss. Right-handers Joe Ross and Ryan Thompson struggled, but Juan Morillo and Kevin Ginkel, Taylor Clarke, and Paul Sewald pitched scoreless innings to secure Arizona's first win of the season. Manager Torey Lovullo said the team is determined to eliminate the "one bad inning" and find ways to improve. Thompson admitted he was frustrated with the umpire's decisions regarding balks, but was grateful for Morillo's performance. Despite this, the team has been struggling to maintain both big and small leads in games.
