An Airline Pilot Called Me An 'SOB' When Landing A Plane On Fire

Delta Air Lines pilot, Captain Evans Boeve, called me an "SOB" during an emergency landing of a plane from Savannah, Georgia, from Atlanta due to a mechanical issue with the aircraft's left engine. The incident occurred when the engine blew, setting the grass on the left side of the airport on fire. The captain returned safely to the runway and warned passengers about the fire setting, which was more dramatic than anyone expected. The term "soul on board" refers to the total number of people aboard an aircraft, which is used during emergencies to provide accurate headcount. However, the term has special meaning given to my own faith as my older brother died in an aviation crash 20 years ago.
