Lake Catholic High School baseball team defeated visiting South 5-4 in a tie game on April 11, with a three-run rally that gave the Cougars a lead. Junior Brayden Mann's single to right field brought in senior Pete Malchesky from third and gave the team a 5-3 lead. Senior Tyler Hribar finished the game on the mound for Lake Catholic, striking out two in the seventh to secure the win. The Cougars have now won five consecutive games against South. Despite a strong start to the season, South has dropped a pair of blowout games to the defending Division Champion and champion Lake Catholic.
