The funeral of a Georgia Veterans Affairs employee, Nic Crews, will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at North River Church of Christ. The shooting occurred when a patient, Lawrence Michels, entered the clinic for a walk-in appointment and shot and killed Crews. Michels was killed during the incident. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Crews died from his injuries.
