pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk is set to launch discounted subscriptions for self-pay patients in the US. The programme, available through telehealth platforms such as Ro, WeightWatchers and LifeMD, will allow eligible patients to buy three-month supplies at fixed monthly prices, with longer plans offering bigger reductions. Ed Cinca, Novo's senior vice president of marketing and patient solutions, stated that consumers are seeking simpler and clearer payment methods as they seek obesity management. The scheme will cost $329 a month for a three-months plan, $299 for six months, and $249 for a 12-month subscription.
