Los Angeles prosecutors have laid out a detailed timeline in the case against singer d4vd, who is accused of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office alleges that he repeatedly stabbed Celeste and watched her bleed out when she threatened to expose their relationship. The accused murderer, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, killed Celeste two days before the release of his album and then took "horrifying measures" to destroy and dispose of her body. Celeste had been reported missing multiple times starting in early 2024 and was last seen alive in April 2025. Her remains were found in d4VD’s Tesla in Los Angeles last September. Prosecutors allege that the singer bought two chainsaws online and used them to dismember Celeste's body.
