In Kentucky, Trump tees off on Massie and urges his ouster: ‘The worst’

President Donald Trump has criticised Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) for opposing the president's agenda and urged Kentucky voters to replace him in Congress. During a speech in Hebron, Ky., Trump accused Massie of being the worst in the Republican Party and threatened to undermine national security and economically harm working class people. He endorsed Massie's primary opponent, Ed Gallrein, a farmer and former Navy SEAL officer who has never held political office. The primary is seen as a crucial test of whether Massie can continue his congressional career despite his independent streak. Despite not attending the rally, Massie had previously criticized the president for promoting attendance with sponsored bus rides.
